Course Overview:
This course equips healthcare professionals with the knowledge and practical skills to assess, manage, and document a wide range of wounds.
Covering everything from basic skin anatomy to complex wound types, participants will work through internationally recognised frameworks and conclude with a hands-on group workshop.
Participants will be divided into small groups of four, with each group working across disciplines.
Groups will assess and manage wound case studies presented on screen, applying the T.I.M.E.S. principles, and present their clinical findings and management plan to the wider group.

- Patient assessment, history-taking and observational techniques
- Aseptic technique and wound dressing preparation (theory and practical)
- Skin anatomy, wound pathophysiology and the healing cascade
- The T.I.M.E.S. framework — Tissue, Infection/Inflammation, Moisture Balance, Edges, Surrounding Tissue
- Wound bed preparation and classification (acute vs. chronic)
- Burns, pressure injuries, leg ulcers and diabetic foot ulcers
- Documentation, wound photography and patient consent
