Phlebotomy – Blood collection from a vein is a much needed skill. QFTS provides a short skills awareness workshop with the aim to provide the critical information to our participants. The training covers Theory and Practical aspects making sure that all safety precautions are adhered to. Participants are provided with current information and mentored by an accredited Practical facilitator. The techniques learnt provide confidence and a determination to treat each patient with excellence.
3 days – Classroom
Participants are assessed by means of multiple-choice questionnaires as pre and post assessments.
In order to be successful a pass rate of 80% is required. Certificate of Attendance
Professional and Enrolled Nurses can attend. ENA’s (enrolled nurse auxillary – cannot attend the course)
